Snow tour from Santiago: full-day trip to the Andes

A day of snow in the Andes, without needing to ski

A snow tour in Santiago, full day: views of the snow-capped peaks, fresh air and time to play in the snow. You don’t need to know how to ski or bring equipment; it’s a tour designed to enjoy the high-mountain scenery.

This day trip through the snow runs through the area of the Chilean Andes where the most famous ski centers in South America are: Farellones, the mountain village at 2,300 m of altitude, and the Valle Nevado area, above 3,000 m, together with La Parva and El Colorado. We stop in free-access snow areas, so there’s no need to buy a ticket for any ski center.

The snow trips leave Santiago with transportation and a guide who knows the area, and take you to the best places to enjoy the snow. We have all the permits and respect the mountain driving rules.

How to get to the snow from Santiago without a car

You don’t need a car to get to the snow: the excursion leaves from your hotel in Santiago Centro, Providencia or Las Condes and brings you back the same day, with transportation and guide included. It’s the simplest way to go to the snow without a car from Santiago, without driving the mountain road or looking for parking at Farellones or Valle Nevado.

If you’re comparing buses to the snow from Santiago, look at what each option includes: here the price covers round-trip transportation, a guide who knows the area, stops at viewpoints and time in the snow at the Los Pumas plaza, in the Valle Nevado area. The ski center entry is not included, because we stop in free-access snow areas.
