Private Santiago de Chile City Tour: historic downtown on foot

This private city tour explores historic downtown Santiago on foot with a local guide who shares the stories and anecdotes behind the most iconic landmarks of Chile’s capital. It is a walk of about three and a half hours, suitable for the whole family, and a great way to understand the city before heading out to explore its surroundings.

The tour starts at 10:15 with a welcome at Santiago Tours (Londres 70), and the meeting point is the front of San Francisco Church, in the París-Londres neighborhood. It continues through the San Francisco Convent and Church and the La Bolsa district to La Moneda Palace. From there you will climb Santa Lucía Hill, with its fountains, statues and terraced gardens full of flowers, and then walk down to the Museum of Fine Arts and Parque Forestal, with its old trees.

The walk continues through Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral and ends at the Central Market, under its wrought-iron structure, among stalls of Chilean fish and seafood such as locos, machas, scallops and piures. If you like, you can stay for lunch at one of its family-run restaurants (lunch is not included).
