Private Tour to Pablo Neruda’s House Museum, Isla Negra, and Pomaire: Poetry, Magic, Good Food, and Pottery
An opportunity to visit Pablo Neruda's house, a marvelous jewel in itself. It’s an original design with an amazing view of the Pacific Ocean
Excursion from Santiago where we will have the opportunity to visit in the Valparaíso Region / El Quisco, the House of Pablo Neruda (Chilean poet, diplomat, and politician). A jewel in itself for its originality with an impressive view of the Pacific Ocean. Built following the specific canons of a ship, everything in it reminds us of the sea. The house treasures inside the wonders that the poet collected for decades in his last refuge: masks, figureheads, giant butterflies, exotic shells, childhood toys, and some other eccentricities hard to find elsewhere that are worth seeing. After the visit, we will depart to Pomaire, a village of potter artisans famous in Chile for its clay craftsmanship. Its renowned ceramics are characterized by their reddish hue and smooth, shiny surface. In Pomaire, we will stroll along the main street, where artisans display their pots, pans, rustic ornaments, and decorative items.
